Target is enhancing its wedding registry with a new partnership with Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry startup. Through the program, Target consumers will have the chance to register for honeymoon experiences, flights, dinners and more in addition to popular household items all on one platform.
“Wedding registry expectations have changed over time,” said Dawn Block, Target svp/digital. “Guests are looking for a complete registry experience, including product and honeymoon options, and Target is the first retailer to be able to offer all of this in one place on Target.com.”
“In our 12 years of making dream honeymoons come true we’ve learned that wedding guests love choices,” said Sara Margulis, Honeyfund co-founder. “We’re excited to partner with Target to bring the best of wedding registries together to offer convenience to Target guests.”
In addition, Target has also recently added visual search technology to the registry app in partnership with Pinterest. Simply take a picture of an item and the app will instantly recommend Target products resembling your photo to add to any registry, from wedding to baby.
The newly enhanced Target Registry app includes easy-to-use tools to quickly manage registries, checklists for tracking registry items and improved in-store scanning capabilities. Target also offers coupons, easy returns and 15% off of items left on consumers’ Target registries following the wedding.
