Target Corporation announced that it will close 11 locations as of February 1, 2015, a decision made after careful consideration of the long-term financial performance of a particular location, the company said. This announcement is in addition to the eight stores the retailer closed in May.
Locations to be closed as of February include: Lithonia, GA; Clinton, IA; McHenry, IL; Calumet City, IL; Indianapolis, ID; Wichita, KS; Bay City, MI; Monroe, MI; Southfield, MI; Austin, MN; and Carrollton, TX.
The company announced in January that it planned to close an additional eight stores on May 2, 2014, bringing the total over the last 12 months to 19 store closings. The stores closed in May were:
West Dundee, IL; Las Vegas, NV; North Las Vegas, NV; Duluth, GA; Memphis, TN; Orange Park, FL; Middletown, OH; and Trotwood, OH.
