Target’s Deal Days To Go Head-To-Head With Amazon’s Prime Day

Following Amazon’s announcement of its annual Prime Day, which this year will be held over two days on July 15 and July 16, Target will go head-to-head with the e-commerce giant with its Target Deal Days.

Set for Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, Target officials said the retailer will be offering thousands of deals on and through the Target app. Shoppers will also be able to use several of Target’s pick up and delivery options including Drive Up, Order Pickup and same-day delivery shopped by Shipt.

“Last year’s One-Day Sale was one of our biggest days of the year for online sales,” said Mark Tritton, evp/chief merchandising officer, Target. “This year, we’re giving guests more discounts across even more of our assortment with two days to save on hundreds of thousands of items and offering the best options in retail for delivery and pick up on their terms, including same-day.”

Target did not offer specifics on the deals, but noted products in several categories including home will be featured.
