TeleBrands’ AJ Khubani To Receive ERA Lifetime Achievement Award

AJ Khubani, founder and CEO of TeleBrands, Inc., will be honored with 2015 Electronic Retailing Association Lifetime Achievement Award during a presentation October 8 at this year’s Moxie Awards Gala. The Moxie Awards are held in conjunction with the 2015 ERA D2C Convention, October 6-8 at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel.

The ERA Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a member whose career achievements have had a profound impact on the direct-response marketing industry, according to ERA.

Khubani joins past honorees Collette Liantonio, Jeffrey Knowles, Kevin Harrington, Katie Williams, Billy Mays, Earl Greenburg, Rob Woodrooffe, Tim Hawthorne, Greg Renker, Joe Segal, Suzanne Somers, Mike Levey and Ron Popeil.

AJ Khubani founded TeleBrands Corporation in 1983, growing the As Seen On TV marketer to more than $1 billion a year in gross retail sales.

Khubani is credited with designing the famous, red “As Seen On TV” logo first used on the Ambervision sunglasses retail package, TeleBrands’ first DRTV-to-retail hit.

TeleBrands was a pioneering influence in the creation of “As Seen On TV” departments at retail.

ERA in 2013 named TeleBrands “Marketer of the Year.” Khubani is also a member of the Foundation for Free Enterprise’s Hall of Fame, NJ Advertising Hall of Fame, and the National Direct Response Marketing Association Hall of Fame.
