Tervis has broken ground on a 24,000-square foot Innovation Center located adjacent to its existing headquarters and factory in North Venice, FL. Completion of the project is scheduled for November 2014.
Within the Innovation Center, the environment will be “an open concept to allow for collaborative teamwork,” according to a Tervis announcement. Members of the marketing, web, new product development, creative, licensing and line planning departments will be housed in this new building.
“We wanted a space that allows our creative teams to work closely together,” said Tervis president and CEO Patrick Redmond. “The sky’s the limit on where their imaginations will take them.”
Tervis has experienced rapid growth and employment has tripled since 2010, according to the company. Currently, Tervis employs more than 800 people. The company has developed new products that include everything from accessories to water bottles, added dozens of new licenses such as Hello Kitty and Harley-Davidson, and created thousands of new designs with themes ranging from flowers to sports.
“We pride ourselves on being innovators,” added Redmond. “We are constantly seeking new ways to improve and provide our consumers with exactly what they are seeking, whether it’s a way to express themselves with their favorite team or to keep their drinks at just the right temperature.”
