The Cookware Company has acquired BK Cookware and Koninklijke Van Kempen & Begeer, two subsidiaries of the Royal Delft Group.
BK Cookware develops and manufactures cooking utensils and cutlery under the labels BK and Gero. Koninklijke Van Kempen & Begeer, established in 1789, is an exclusive brand of silver and silvered cutlery.
“The acquisition of BK Cookware and Koninklijke Van Kempen & Begeer is a total fit with The Cookware Company’s strategic plan and has a number of strategic advantages. First of all, The Cookware Company can further expand its existing brand portfolio by this move. In addition, we are thrilled to welcome a very experienced team of professionals to our group,” said Jan Helskens, president, The Cookware Company.
“BK Cookware and Van Kempen & Begeer are profitable companies with stable cash flows that make a direct positive contribution to The Cookware Company’s net profit and value and that have great growth potential. The financing of the acquisition and the refinancing of the current Dutch loans will be done through a combination of in-house resources and with our existing bank consortium,” said Steven D’haene, CFO, The Cookware Company.
