The Cookware Company Expands Sales Force, U.S. Facility

The Cookware Company has announced that it is expanding office and staff to keep up with continued growth of its cookware assortment. According to the company, it has been experiencing exponential growth— sales are up 50% over last year— and has increased its global workforce by 30%.

“Our US sales team has done a tremendous job of growing our relationships with retailers and .coms nationwide, who are now carrying our products,” said Dieter Naessens, evp/sales for the Americas. “The Cookware Company is proud to partner with notable retailers like Macy’s, Target, Kitchen Collection, West Elm, Amazon and more.”

To accommodate for the growth, the maker of Greenpan ceramic non-stick cookware, is moving to a new, larger facility in Tarrytown, NY this month, more than doubling the space of its current facility— from 2,058 square feet to 4,780 square feet.

The larger office space will allow for additional employees and a larger conference room to host client meetings and display the company’s growing product assortment. Additionally, the new space will allow for the potential of further expansion in the future.

 In the US office alone, The Cookware Company’s sales and support staff has doubled in the last six months, the company said, with plans for adding more positions by the end of 2013.

 “We look forward to expanding our team in this new office space in order to meet the demands we are facing. The more support we have internally, the better we are able to provide a high level of service and support to our customers and vendors,” Naessens added.

The Cookware Company’s latest introductions, the I Love Cooking assortment under GreenPan, will be available for shipping this fall. The collection, which features three textured non-stick surfaces for cooking a variety of foods, touts GreenPan’s signature Thermolon ceramic non-stick coating.
