The Kroger Co. has announced it appointed Alex Tosolini to serve in the newly created role of senior vp/new business development. The company stated that Tosolini will lead a strategic process to identify, evaluate and develop new opportunities that capitalize on Kroger assets and contribute to the company’s growth and financial performance.
Tosolini will report to Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen, the company noted.
Before accepting the Kroger position, Tosolini had been Procter & Gamble Co., senior vp/global e-business and vp/global e-commerce, according to Kroger.
“Alex’s unique skills and insights, ranging from strategic planning to brand management to general management, will enhance our efforts to accelerate Kroger’s growth,” McMullen said in announcing the appointment. “Alex will be an outstanding addition to our leadership team.”
