Tractor Supply Company has announced plans to build a new distribution center in Casa Grande, Arizona.
Tractor Supply executives and local government officials held a ceremonial groundbreaking event November 17, at the Casa Grande distribution center site located in the Central Arizona Commerce Park. The facility is expected to begin operating in the fourth quarter of 2015 and will be approximately 650,000-square-feet in size, with the potential to create more than 250 local jobs. The new distribution center will have the potential to service approximately 250 stores in the Southwest region. Currently, the company operates more than 1,360 stores in 49 states.
“The addition of a new distribution center in the Southwest is key to our western expansion strategy,” said Greg Sandfort, president and CEO, Tractor Supply Company. “Arizona’s proximity to our Western stores provides an ideal location for our new facility which will allow us to achieve lower transportation costs and faster delivery to our stores.”
