DUBLIN, CA— Tria Beauty, Inc. has launched the Hair Removal Laser Precision, with the aim of satisfying that large proportion of consumers who have specific targeted preferences for use of light-emanating devices, the company has announced.
Initially available at Barney’s in New York and Los Angeles, as well as on triabeauty.com, the product is a response to company research indicating that about 60% of consumers who are interested in laser hair removal seek to treat limited areas only, Tria pointed out. With that consumer focus in mind, Tria designed the at-home laser hair removal product specifically for the underarms, bikini line and other smaller, sensitive body parts, the company stated.
The Hair Removal Laser Precision uses a diode laser system, which has been adopted by dermatologists for in-office use after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration cleared the technology, Tria related. The product features a slim, ergonomic body design that makes it easier to use.
Nicole Landberg, Tria vp and general manager, Americas and Europe, said in announcing the product roll out that Tria intends to combine technical innovation and elegant design as a means of drawing consumer attention to the benefits of laser hair removal. As part of an ongoing effort, the company is using its capacities to make laser hair removal more affordable and, so, more accessible to consumers, she said.
The Hair Removal Laser Precision has a suggested retail price of $299. In addition to the basic product, Tria offers a deluxe kit that adds the company’s SmoothStart Calming Gel for a $325 retail price.
