Umbra Broadens Home Organizing Assortment

NEW YORK— Umbra debuted organizational solutions for a variety of purposes in the home— from toilet paper rolls and trash to jackets and jewelry— at the summer edition of NY Now, held at the Javits Center, here.

The company’s Leanera Coat & Shoe Rack, designed by Wesley Chau, is a wood and metal coat and shoe rack that leans against a wall, maximizing the limited space of a hallway, while minimizing clutter, according to Umbra. It features six hooks for coats and jackets and room for six pairs of boots or shoes.

The brand’s Slinger Toilet Paper Stand and Reserve, designed by Tom Chung, plays well in the mixed material trend, and is a metal, wood and fabric toilet paper stand that also serves as a reserve. Using the fabric sling underneath, extra toilet paper rolls or magazines can be stored for convenience. The fabric sling is not only removable and washable, but is also reversible.

Umbra’s Couplet Can is a 10.25 x 10.25 x 15-inch painted wire trash can that has an inner removable plastic trash bin, so that consumers can separate recycling from trash, or wet trash from dry trash, according to the company. Designed by David Green, Couplet is offered in white wire with either a mint green or gray inner bin or in black wire with a black inner bin.

In addition, also new from the recent NY Now summer market, Umbra has introduced a Stowit Jewelry Box. The modern wood and white metal jewelry box contains hidden sliding drawers and other compartments to store jewelry and accessories. It is designed by Sung Wook Park.
