Vandor, LLC launches its line of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” totes, mugs and cups in retail stores across the country beginning today, September 4. Dubbed at retail as “Force Friday,” the day marks the official global retail launch of merchandise for Episode VII in the Star Wars saga, which premieres December 18.
“We’re excited to be part of the merchandising premiere for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and are sure that our products will keep fans excited about the movie leading up to its release in December and beyond,” said Lynn Keller, Vandor’s licensing director. Vandor has been an official licensee of the Star Wars property for six years.
Vandor has chosen some of its top trending products to bring to life the heroes and villains featured in the upcoming movie. Fans can enjoy retro tin totes featuring Kylo Ren, the ominous new cloaked villain. Featured on Vandor’s shopper tote is a collage of the movie’s newest heroes and villains.
At home, Star Wars: The Force Awakens fans can enjoy their favorite beverage in an oversized 20-ounce ceramic mug featuring dramatic imagery of The First Order. Vandor offers a 20-ounce heat reactive ceramic travel mug that comes to life with an igniting light saber when filled with hot liquid. Rounding out the line are an 18-ounce acrylic travel cup and a 16-ounce plastic travel mug. Adorning these cups are characters including new female lead Rey and BB8, Rey’s trusty droid.
