Clipper Corp. has expanded its cookware assortment with the addition of its Viking Hard Stainless line, which is scheduled to hit retail in December.
The 5-ply line features a hard-anodized aluminum exterior with a non-reactive, surgical-quality stainless steel interior, the company said. The offerings have three layers of aluminum alloy bonded between the hard-anodized exterior and stainless interior, while the combined four outer layers of aluminum deliver optimal heat transfer and performance, according to Clipper.
“We have developed a way to offer the home chef the best of both worlds when it comes to cooking – aluminum, a restaurant kitchen staple and one of the most conductive metals available in the kitchen today matched with stainless steel, a trusted cooking surface that it is non-reactive and easy to clean,” said Jeff Malkasian, evp, Clipper Corporation. “Layer in the aluminum core that creates the 5-ply clad construction and you have a state of the art pan that will deliver restaurant quality results in the home.”
Dishwasher safe, oven and grill safe up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, the Viking Hard Stainless will be available at specialty and gourmet retailers, as well as Amazon.com. The line will be available in open stock and set. Suggested retail for open stock ranges from $165 to $450, while the 10-piece set has a suggested retail of $1,580.
Additionally, Clipper has added an oval roaster to the Viking Collection. The 9-quart, 3-in-1 roaster is made with tri-ply stainless steel. The body is a traditional open roaster, while the 4-quart, 3-ply lid works as a sauté pan on the stovetop, a casserole pan in the oven, or as a serving piece. Both the lid and the body are induction capable.
Already available at retail for a suggested retail price of $350, the oval roaster is safe for use in the oven or on the grill up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit, the company said. It is also dishwasher safe and includes a limited-lifetime warranty.
