As part of its Black Friday sales initiatives, Walmart is providing maps that will lead shoppers to deals, and it will launch two unique promotions to entice consumers.
This year, Walmart kicks off its Black Friday online event at 10 p.m. eastern time on Wednesday, November 27. In Walmart stores, Black Friday promotions begins at 6 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28.
Featured home department deals include an Instant Pot 6-quart Duo cooker, at $49, a $30 savings; and an iRobot 670 Wi-Fi vacuum at $197, a $47 savings.
Shoppers using the Walmart app will find a Black Friday store map that’s specifically set to the location they plan to shop. The map, already live, will lay out where shoppers can find key deals come the Black Friday event. The map will lay out all sales items a few hours before the event starts in stores.
Walmart will use color-coding in its Black Friday ad, on the Walmart app and in stores as another way of directing consumers to deals. On Black Friday, shoppers will find signs, balloons and associates wearing vests that match the color code of items from the Black Friday ad as a further aid to navigation.
To save Black Friday shoppers time, Walmart’s Check Out With Me employees will offer customers the option of bypassing the regular checkout lines and paying for items where they are shopping.
Walmart already has holiday-related discounts available on its website as Buy Now deals including a Shark DuoClean Lift-Away Speed upright vacuum NV770 for $149, a $90 savings. On Friday, November 22 at 12 a.m. eastern time, Walmart will launch special discounts as part of a Pre-Black Friday initiative, with details of that event to be released closer to the date.
