Watros Leaving Hudson’s Bay

Don Watros, president of the Hudson’s Bay international division, is leaving the company, effective September 29.

Previously, he served as president and COO of Hudson’s Bay. Prior to taking on his HBC roles, Watros was managing director of retail operations at NRDC Equity Partners, which is affiliated with National Realty & Development Corp. NRDC principals purchased Hudson’s Bay and are its largest non-institutional shareholders, according to the company. Richard Baker, who owns NRDC with his father Robert Baker, is HBC’s governor and executive chairman.

Watros also has served as the chairman of the Galeria Kaufhof supervisory board since 2015. The supervisory board will elect a new chairman at its company meeting in October of this year, HBC noted.
