Wayfair.com today announced a partnership with Staples to offer Staples.com shoppers an expanded selection of products across multiple categories including furniture, decor and housewares. As Staples focuses on providing every product businesses need to succeed, the partnership will dramatically extend the selection for small- and medium-sized businesses into new categories including outdoor furniture, exercise equipment and kitchenware, the company said.
“We’re rapidly expanding the product assortment on Staples.com, making it easier for business to find everything they need in one place,” said Faisal Masud, evp/global e-commerce, Staples. “Wayfair.com’s offering builds on our selection and brings completely new categories to our online shopping experience.”
Hundreds of Wayfair.com products will now be available on Staples.com. The two companies plan to feature more than 50,000 products in the Staples e-marketplace by early 2014. Future assortment growth will focus on building selection in categories such as furnishings, decor, housewares, lighting and home improvement, and an extended selection of office furniture and supplies.

In addition to being the first partner in the Staples marketplace, Wayfair.com launched a partnership with Staples office products subsidiary Quill.com last summer.
