Wayfair is expanding its housewares business in an initiative that includes providing shoppers a broader product selection as well as new specialty and savings shops developed to combine inspiration, convenience and fast delivery for items across segments from kitchen tools to tabletop to organization.
The company also will provide a first-of-its-kind Mix ‘n’ Match tabletop tool to help shoppers style and visualize unique table settings before they purchase.
The specialty shops will offer consumers best-selling items, tips and product recommendations. For spring, the Outdoor & Entertaining Shop will provide everything from dinnerware sets and serving dishes to durable linens suitable for decks, patios and balconies. A 3 for $30 Shop gives customers the ability to handpick and bundle their favorite housewares together for one low price. For shoppers who want to bring some color to their serveware, Wayfair is introducing a Mix ‘n’ Match Fiestaware tool that lets shoppers visualize a variety of colorful combinations in one place.
In registry, Wayfair stated that it would continue rolling out innovative features such as visual search and an interactive checklist that make registering for housewares and other categories easier. Search with photo allows couples to instantly add items to registry using an image. My Checklist provides product suggestions and keeps track of items across categories, allowing couples to fill in gaps.
“At Wayfair, we’re constantly innovating how we present our selection to create the best possible shopping experience for our customers, from the moment they find a product they love to when it arrives in their home,” said Steve Oblak, Wayfair chief merchandising officer. “We’re excited to provide new ways for our customers to discover their favorite housewares products while offering great value and faster delivery for an even larger selection.”
