Wedgwood Reimagines Jasperware With Recycled Materials

Wedgwood, part of the Fiskars Group, has introduced the Folia Jasper Mini Pot, the company’s first 100% recycled interiors product. The Folia pot is a limited edition design of 400 pieces made from scrap pieces of Jasperware.

The surface, said the company, is decorated with a nature-inspired Folia pattern and as a mark of authenticity, each pot has a hand applied impress on the base indicating the year of production and batch number.

With a limited amount of recyclable Jasperware available for each batch, individual firings create a slightly different color, which makes every batch unique and a limited edition design. The pots are available to purchase exclusively from Wedgwood’s relaunched global website.

“Wedgwood is continually looking to introduce innovative manufacturing processes and create products relevant to our customers’ everyday lives,” said Paivi Svens, vp/Wedgwood. “Our new Folia Jasper Mini Pot is just that, a contemporary design and accessible priced product, the perfect introduction to Wedgwood. By creating a recycled design in our iconic Jasperware, we’ve been able to engage our customers in a conversation that resonates across the globe— how to embrace an ethical lifestyle and commit to the values associated with sustainable living by consuming less and appreciating well designed quality products made to last.”

“The recycled Folia Jasper Mini Pot by Wedgwood is a great example of how we are eliminating waste to landfill by designing for sustainability and exploring new solutions to extend the lifecycle of materials,” added Leni Valsta, vp/sustainability, Fiskars Group.
