West Elm has announced that it plans to open a new retail location in Pittsburgh, PA, on Thursday, September 4. Located in Bakery Square, the more than 10,000-square-foot store will feature a curated selection of products made in Pennsylvania, part of West Elm’s Local initiative.
The Pittsburgh store will include products from the following PA-based makers:
Heirloom Home and Studio, ABJ Glassworks, Honest Alchemy, Lily & Val, Betsy Olmsted, Peg and Awl, Ordinary Mommy, Red Raven Ceramics, STAK Ceramics, Strawberry Luna, Baby Jives Co. and Outdated Press.
According to the company, the Bakery Square store is designed to reflect the environment, culture and heritage of the area. The lofted ceiling is made out of reclaimed whitewashed pine. The back cash wrap has a collage of factory window frames with glass removed, for example.
