Westlake Ace Hardware has signed an agreement to acquire the Dennis Co., a five-store retail hardware chain in coastal southwest Washington, giving the retailer its first footprint in the state. Westlake will own 121 stores across 10 states after the acquisition, which should be finalized on March 26, according to the company.
The Dennis Co. stores are located in the towns of Aberdeen, Elma, Long Beach, Montesano and Raymond. They will retain the Dennis Co. name, management, personnel and the current product mix, Westlake noted. Upon acquisition, the stores will become part of the Ace network as a division of Westlake Ace Hardware.
“Westlake is a growing and vibrant brand,” Joe Jeffries, Westlake Ace Hardware president and COO, said. “We are excited to welcome the Dennis Co. into the Westlake family, expand our relationship within the communities they serve and continue their proud tradition of outstanding customer service.”
