As demand for artisanal and customized coffee grows, Williams-Sonoma will relaunch Bialetti’s signature Moka Express stovetop coffeemaker in retail stores and online, stated Bradshaw International, Bialetti’s U.S.-distributor.
Available in late July, Williams-Sonoma will support the item relaunch with a catalog spread featuring an assortment of Moka sizes and colors and an affogato recipe. The retailer will also be promoting tasting demonstrations in-store starting in late July.
“The Moka Express is in higher demand with U.S. consumers becoming more eco-conscious and sophisticated coffee drinkers,” said Jason Vaske, director of marketing at Bradshaw International. “We are excited to have Williams-Sonoma on board carrying such a wide range of our classic product.”
According to the company, over 200 million units of the aluminum stovetop coffeemaker have already been sold worldwide, and the product can be found in nealry 90% of Italian households.
The Moka Express in 1-, 3-, 6-, 9- and 12-cup sizes in stainless and red will have suggested retail prices ranging from $19.95 to $59.95.
