NEW YORK— Wolf Gourmet has expanded its assortment of kitchen electrics with the addition of a blender and stand mixer.
The new Pro-Performance blender, which carries a suggested retail price of $549, is equipped with a 2.2 peak horsepower motor and steel blades that operate at more than 200 miles per hour, according to the company. Made from stainless steel and offering an all-metal drivetrain, the blender has a 64-ounce shatterproof Tritan plastic jar that is BPA-free with a soft-touch handle.
The jar’s two-piece cap assembly includes an emulsion cup for dressings and marinades and a filler cap designed with measurement marks. An included tamper fits into the spill-proof and vented lid to allow the user to manage thick or frozen mixtures.
Featuring four pre-programmed settings— smoothie, ice crush, puree and soup— the blender also offers variable speed controls with a single control knob. In addition, a manual pulse function works at any speed.
Wolf’s new stand mixer features a patent-pending rotating bowl lift that allows for minimal movement while mixing ingredients by distributing the contents evenly within the bowl, according to the company. A twist of the bowl and its handle lifts and locks the bowl.
Additional features of the stand mixer include a 7-quart stainless steel mixing bowl, a variable speed dial, a pulse mode designed for use when adding ingredients such as nuts or chocolate and attachments including a dough hook, whisk and paddle attachment.
The mixer is also designed to accommodate a variety of specialty attachments including a food grinder, pasta maker and spiralizer. A power take-off for the attachments allow each to be easily switched, company officials said.
Other features include a built-in venting system designed to keep the motor at a lower temperature for optimal mixing of higher volume ingredients and a shield that allows for mess-free pouring.
Suggested retail price of the stand mixer is $1,149.
