World Kitchen is adding to its portfolio of housewares brands with the introduction of a new line of vintage-inspired prep and serve bowls called Vintage Charm inspired by Pyrex.
The Vintage Charm brand is said to be inspired by the designs of the classic Pyrex opal glass bowls from the 1950’s and 60’s, but with a modern twist on the patterns that evoke feelings of nostalgia. The pieces come in six retro-style patterns including: Birds of a Feather, Spot On, Rise & Shine, Golden Days, Memory Lane and Tickled Pink.
“We’re all huge fans of the original opal glass products, and the Vintage Charm design language gives us the freedom and liberty to take inspiration from that and push it forward by exploring new design territory. Having that flexibility with this new brand is great,” Michael Scheffki, director of brand marketing, bakeware, for World Kitchen, told HOMEWORLD BUSINESS in an exclusive interview.
The line is said to be targeted towards the Millennial consumer and will be available in a range of channels spanning from grocery to mass in time for the holidays.
The patterns will be sold separately and as a three piece set including one small, medium and large bowl for a suggested retail price of $29.99. The patterns will also be sold as a six piece set including one small, medium and large bowl with lids for $39.99. Open stock products range from $6.99 to $14.99. All bowls are dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe for ease and convenience while entertaining, the company said.
World Kitchen is parent company to the Pyrex, CorningWare, Corelle, Snapware, Baker’s Secret and Chicago Cutlery brands.
