This fall, Williams-Sonoma will introduce an exclusive new line of cutlery from Wüsthof called Legende.
With an 8-inch chef’s knife priced at $99.95, the line is priced in between the cutlery company’s Gourmet and Classic line. The cutlery is characterized by a slim, scaled-down thermoplastic handle, a recessed bolster and a lightweight feel that is said to be designed for those with smaller hands who seek more comfort and control with a European knife.
The blades in the line are precision forged of high-carbon steel and are constructed with Wüsthof’s PEtec technology.
The line starts at $29.95 with a 3 1/2-inch paring knife and runs up to $229.95 for a 7-piece block set which includes the paring knife, a 4 1/2-inch utility knife, 9-inch double-serrated bread knife, 8-inch chef’s knife, 9-inch honing steel, 8-inch pull-apart kitchen shears and an acacia wood storage block.
