Yankee Candle Visits Margaritaville For New Collection

The Yankee Candle Co. is launching a new Margaritaville Collection, featuring four fragrances inspired by iconic Jimmy Buffett lyrics and the Margaritaville island state of mind, the company said.

The new line of tropical fragrances includes Jamaican Vacation, Lime & Sea Salt, Pineapple Breeze and Mother Ocean and is rolling out to Yankee Candle’s more than 500 retail stores, web site, select specialty retailers and gift shops while supplies last.

To support the product launch, Yankee Candle has developed a sweepstakes promotion dubbed #MyMargaritaville. Prizes include a Margaritaville home party pack and a trip to Margaritaville’s new Hollywood Beach Resort in Florida. To enter, fans build their own version of Margaritaville by swiping through a selection of backdrops and beach essentials to create a custom scene. Each Margaritaville scene incorporates a fragrance and a Jimmy Buffett quote. The company encourages participants to share their Margaritaville moment on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram accompanied by the hashtag.

“Our partnership with The Yankee Candle Co. makes perfect scents. Each unique fragrance transports you to an island state of mind, regardless of your current latitude,” said Tamara Baldanza-Dekker, Margaritaville chief marketing officer.

Suggested retail prices for the candles range from $26.99 for a large square candle to $2.99 for a jar.
