CHICAGO— Tapping into a variety of trends from kid-friendly movies and toys to Earth Day and holidays, Zak Designs is rolling out a wide assortment of water bottles at the International Home + Housewares Show, here.
The company will showcase the new Hatchimals Funtastic Tumbler which features a sculpted character on top of a 15-ounce tumbler. The company said the tumbler is durable enough for kids to take it on the go and the wrap-around art is designed to coordinate with Zak’s entire line of licensed Hatchimals products that include section plates and flatware and other on-the-go drinkware.
Also geared towards kids are the new 25-ounce Tritan and 24.5-ounce Riff bottles, designed for Lego fans and inspired by the recently released “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.”
The licensed bottles highlight images from the movie. The 25-ounce bottle features a wide drinking spout and a built-in carrying loop to make it easy to clip onto backpacks. The 24.5-ounce Riff bottle features a squeezable body and a one-way sip valve to prevent spills.
In honor of Earth Day, Zak will debut the Alfalfa tumbler. It is a double-wall stainless steel tumbler that is designed to provide consumers with a reusable alternative to disposable cups and one-time-use water bottles.
The vacuum-insulated tumbler is designed to keep drinks cold without condensation building up on the outside, the company said. It is available in both 20-ounce or 30-ounce sizes and multiple colors. The Alfalfa tumbler also has a splash-proof lid and fits in most car cup holders.
The tumbler also features a flexible silicone straw that offers an eco-friendly alternative to disposable straws and is designed to fold flat. This is said to decrease the amount of corrugate and container space needed to ship the tumbler.
Zak will also spotlight its holiday beverageware for the fall/winter 2019 season. Available in mid-September, Zak’s holiday beverageware line includes some of its most popular tumblers as well as new introductions that all feature holiday-themed colors. Some include a shimmering finish.
Included in the line is the new Creston tankard with a 24-ounce capacity and a substantial handle that includes a built-in bottle opener. The line also includes the new 20-ounce Aberdeen hot beverage tumbler that’s available with or without a handle. Both versions feature a leak-proof lid with a flip-up cover that locks back in place.
Rounding out the holiday line are the 30-ounce Alpine tumbler with a leak-proof lid that features a sliding opening, and the 11-ounce Palisades tumbler. All of the items in the line feature double-wall stainless steel construction and the vacuum insulation is said to keep hot beverages hot and cold drinks cold for hours.
