Zojirushi America Corporation has promoted veteran sales executive Koji Nishizawa to vice president, effective immediately. Nishizawa steps into a position that has been vacant since Tatsu Yamasaki was promoted to president and CEO of Zojirushi America.
In this new role, Nishizawa will oversee all sales aspects in North, Central and South America.
“I plan to focus on areas which have huge potential for growth, such as the Central and South American markets,” said Nishizawa. “In North America, we will continue to explore the fast-growing e-commerce business. In this role, I will navigate this uncertain business environment embracing the Kaizen business philosophy of the Zojirushi Group— focusing on continuous improvement.”
Nishizawa began his career at Zojirushi 15 years ago, and has managed the sales department for the past eight years. Nishizawa was instrumental in securing key accounts such as Amazon, Target, Kohl’s, Crate & Barrel and Williams Sonoma, the company said. In addition, he has played a central role in expanding retail presence and championing new products geared towards the American market, such as the multicooker and Micom toaster oven.
